Agreed, however I think Highslide fixes a lot of the problems other lightboxes have. It doesn't block background behaviour, it's easy to close and open (note the zoom icons) and the zoom action makes it obvious what is happening. Also I think the left + right keyboard buttons is an awesome way to present a slideshow. On the downside it's not open source, or even free for commercial sites.
